Communication

JPS Mascot

Jennings Public Schools prides itself on strong communication. We have an open door policy where feedback is appreciated and suggestions are welcome. We have several different formats to keep our families informed of what is going on around the district including:

  • Wednesday Folders – We send home announcements, important information, graded papers, etc. every Wednesday.

  • Progress Reports – Beginning the 4th week of each quarter progress reports are sent home on a bi-weekly basis for the remainder of the quarter. We believe parents should always know how their child is performing in class. Please note that conferences may be scheduled at any time there are questions or concerns with your child’s progress. You do not have to wait until scheduled PT Conferences. Contact your child’s teacher at any time to schedule a meeting.

  • Parent Square – All parents/guardians should register and utilize Parent Square. It is our most important communication tool. It is a one stop shop for school related information. All announcements are posted there and messages can be sent directly to teachers or admin at any time.

  • Facebook – The Jennings Schools Facebook page is always loaded with important announcements & plenty of recognition. We use Facebook to celebrate our successes.

  • Website – Our website here tells the story of who we are. There is also critical information such as our calendar, enrollment documentation, athletic schedules, menus, etc.

  • Announcement Boards – We have an announcement board containing the most critical announcements and information posted just outside the main office as well as one at the Longhorn Cafe.
