  • Jennings Public Schools is a growing PK-8 dependent school district located in Jennings, Oklahoma in Pawnee County.

  • Jennings Public Schools has approximately 240 students, 18 teachers, and 15 support employees.

  • Jennings Public Schools operates on a 4-day school week. School is not in session on most Fridays except for a few scheduled distance learning Fridays that are built into our calendar.

  • As a dependent school district, students who graduate the 8th grade at Jennings Public Schools may choose which high school they will attend. This affords families the opportunity to “shop” around for the best fit. Traditionally, students graduating from Jennings Public Schools will attend high school in Cleveland, Oilton, or Yale though they are not limited to those options.

  • Jennings Public Schools is family oriented. We work diligently to provide families with opportunities to be involved within the school through events such as Family Engagement Day, Donuts for Dads, Muffins for Moms, and our Annual Family Cookout.

  • Jennings Public Schools has a supportive administration with strong teachers who push students to excel academically while providing them with tools to be successful in life and establishing meaningful, trusting relationships through daily interactions and lessons.

  • Jennings Public Schools understands that each child’s needs are unique. We want to do everything we can to address those needs and provide each student what they need to be successful.

  • Jennings Public Schools values communication. Progress Reports are sent home on a bi-weekly basis. We post daily announcements on our district Facebook page and offer text messaging to get the most important announcements to you quickly. Folders are sent home each Wednesday that include graded assignments and other critical information. Finally, our school website if updated frequently to provide key information about what is happening within the school.

  • Jennings Public Schools wants to hear from you. Our families drive our success. We want feedback on what we are doing well and what we can improve upon. This feedback is essential in maintaining excellence.

  • Jennings Public Schools provides each student PK-8 with a device making us totally 1:1. Students in PK-2nd grade all have an iPad to use in class. Students in 3rd – 8th  grades have their own Chromebooks to during class. All of our classroom are equipped with interactive white boards used to enhance learning and instruction.

  • Jennings Public Schools has excelled in athletics. We have recently won a state championship in both football and boy’s basketball. We also boast an individual state champion in track. As a PK-8 district, in 7th & 8th grades, we compete against other PK-8 disrict in O.R.E.S. (Oklahoma Rural Elementary Schools). O.R.E.S. offers playoffs in football, fast pitch softball, basketball, track, & archery. Student athletes have the chance at an early age to compete for a state championship. We often hear former students say that the experience of competing in a playoff environment gave them an advantage in high school.

  • Jennings Public Schools offers all PK-5th grade students with a weekly art experience thanks to the Oklahoma State Department of Education’s Art Tech Grant. In addition, students in grades 6th – 8th are offered art lessons on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Jennings Public Schools is continuously growing and improving. We want to be known as an innovative district. We are constantly looking for ways to improve. Thanks to a bond issue (passed in February 2020, we just finished (November, 2021) renovating the James F. Hubbard Event Center that allowed us to significantly increase seating and also provided us with safe rooms that we were lacking. Future plans include a new pre-kindergarten learning center and an outdoor classroom.
